Dan Esty is the Hillhouse Professor of Environmental Law and Policy at Yale University. He also directs the Yale Center for Environmental Law and Policy and the Center for Business and Environment at Yale. Esty is the author or editor of 10 books and numerous articles on the relationship between the environmental law/policy and trade, competitiveness, corporate strategy, international governance, and development. His recent prize-winning book (with Andrew Winston), Green to Gold: How Smart Companies Use Environmental Strategy to Innovate, Create Value, and Build Competitive Advantage has been hailed as introducing a new approach to environmental protection for the 21st Century.
